Bespoke design and restyle
Bring in a picture or an idea and the workshop does the rest. We source from coloured-stone and diamond suppliers, so a commission starts from the stone you want. Pieces you never wear become something worn every day.
A husband-and-wife goldsmith in the heart of Monmouth, run by Shaun Ruston and Louise Thomas. We design and remake jewellery to commission, set the stones you already own into something you will actually wear, and handle repairs and valuations too.
The work we are proudest of rarely starts in the cabinet. It starts with a ring that no longer fits the life, a brooch nobody wears, a good stone in a drawer. We source from coloured-stone and diamond suppliers, so a commission begins from the stone you want.
“Their service is exceptional. They made a wedding ring to fit my engagement ring perfectly, and even found the perfect ring for my husband.” Sharon, Google review

Ring resizing, chain and clasp work, restringing, watch repairs and batteries. A wedding band made to sit flush against an engagement ring, a vintage ring brought back to life. Most repairs are done in-house at the bench.
A written valuation your insurer accepts as a legal document, with photographs and a full description of each piece. Released only to the police or your insurer with your permission.
Diamond, gem-set, vintage and titanium jewellery, designer lines including Alan Ardiff and Alex Monroe, and Swiss watches from Mondaine, Bering and Zeppelin. We also buy gold and pre-owned jewellery over the counter.

Most of what comes across the bench is sentimental, not spare. An engagement ring from a marriage now ended, a mother's eternity ring two sizes too small, an opal nobody has seen in years. The job is to keep what matters.
A short note to start the conversation, no obligation. The real work happens at the counter, once we can see the piece in person. Or just phone 01600 713522 and ask for Louise.

Yes. Bring the engagement ring in and we shape the band around it, so the two sit flush. One customer told us we made the wedding ring to fit hers perfectly, then found the perfect ring for her husband too.
That is the heart of what we do. Bring in the piece, or a picture of the idea, and the workshop takes it from there. We once reset an oval opal triplet with white sapphires as a pendant, better than leaving the stones in a drawer.
Yes. Resizing, chain and clasp repair, restringing of pearls and beads, watch repairs and batteries, most of it in-house. Bring the piece to 16 Agincourt Square and we will talk through the work and timing before we start.
We examine the piece, photograph it and write a full description, then issue a written valuation your insurer accepts as a legal document. Your details stay confidential, released only with your permission.
Yes. We buy gold and pre-owned jewellery over the counter, and we are WEEE registered so anything that cannot be reworn is dealt with properly. Call in or phone 01600 713522.
